Yep, mark from the piston is more central on the old pads! |

Are you sure that you’ve got the calliper mounting brackets on the right wheel?

Think its just the camera angle, they've not been swopped over... |

It doesn't look right but I can't see why. I did my rear brakes the other week ( Disks, Pads and Callipers) and am sure they didn't look like this. You can rebuild the old callipers with new seals and pistons as long as there is no scoring of the bores. The parts are not expensive and I'd have gone that route but for the fact I needed to do it quickly. The pistons are very difficult to remove if seized. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I was the same and went new for a quick swap rather than refurb and it possibly not work.

Can you not compare a new and old calliper, the new ones are either smaller or the mounting holes are further out than the originals, or some other discrepancy which should be noticeable if you have them side by side... Pete

They do look slightly different different but I'd put that down to them being 'aftermarket' Supplier has now come back to me saying they're not suitable which is a complete contradiction to what they told me when I ordered them so they're going back!

The original calipers were made by TRW. If you buy the TRW part, they're the original OEM caliper, they just have the Land Rover logo blanked off

If you can get the bleed valve and piston out and the cast looks ok without corrosion in the chamber, the Frenkit 245918 kit is the refurb kit you need. There's various sellers on ebay. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Thanks for your comments! Reverted to the refurb option. Old calliper media blasted, etch primered and painted and new Frentech piston and seal kit fitted.
