Resonance/groan when accelerating 2012 4.4 TDV8

Hi guys, my 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster has started to make a noise when I accelerate gently. It’s hard to describe but it sounds like it comes from the front of the car, and its almost like the resonance noise you get when blowing across the top of a beer bottle, it happens at all speeds but is more noticeable when going from a standing start to around 25 mph at around 1000 rpm, if you accelerate though it it stops. The car drives perfect and I’ve no warning lights on.

Anyone any ideas on what that might be? It doesn’t sound like wheel bearings or cv joints, or gearbox type noise, almost sounds like something vibrating a certain resonance, then stopping. The car has recently been in the garage for new rear shocks and rear subframe bushes, and to clean up a small oil leak in the engine bay. I can live with the noise, it’s a 10 year old 100k mile car so noises come and go, but I wondered if it was a precursor to anything serious?

Check that the spacers separating the brake pipes in the vicinity of the master cylinder are keeping the pipes apart. One of mine's spacers had come unclipped allowing 2 pipes to vibrate against each other.

Mine gets a terrible drone / vibration when the mount at the back of the transfer case gets filled with mud which has dried, which then has to be dug out using a large screw-driver.

Could be the beginning of the exhaust heat shield coming loose below the drivers feet. I'm getting this on my 2012 4.4 just now and it is between 1k - 1.5k revs. Just haven't had the urge to get underneath to resolve it yet! I get it as well. Only happens at just above idle revs ( I only hear it at low revs) Doesn't sound mechanical to me more like a valve or resonance on the intake. On my old Saab the turbo bypass valve was also known as a 'hooter' valve and made a similar noise. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

A valve or resonance on the intake is exactly how it sounds to me, thats a better way of describing it than what I managed in my orginal post.

Also happening for me just above idle too. Wonder what it is??

I have exactly the same buzz noise when accelerating. Only at low revs. But it somehow is correlated with engine revs - and I can "feel" it in my right foot when pressing acceleration pedal

Been out in the car again today, and it's definitely making the noise at 1,000rpm. It’s doing it fairly consistently.

Did you check high presssure fuel pump? Sometimes after changing fuel filter this pump catches air and buzz in certain rpm

Doesn't sound like mine. I get a 'moan' noise just above 1krpm and then it goes as the revs go higher. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thats how mine sounds too. I'll take a video of it later this week and post it up.

Can you guys replicate the noise revving the engine with the car stationary?

I will try today.
It changes or appears only when you move/add the throttle.
I know from the previous owner that recently my car had the fuel filter replaced.
