Yes. It was in RP before the yellow DPF warnings.

Ah I see.

Ok battery reset might be worth a try too.

Have you got the EML symbol on too ?

. Cheers, Greg

No EML.

I did a full reset using the IID tool. Isn't that the same thing?

No have the EML light, haven't read it yet, but assume it will relate to the red DPF warning.

This is ity first car with a DPF, so didn't really understand the problems it causes, with short journeys. Although I've been carrying out the dynamic regenerations when the Amber warning appears, I don't think it was enough and it is now full or blocked, hence the red.

I have contacted Pat at GAP Diagnostics asking if I can perform a forced regen using the IID tool. You can by updating it to the beta firmware version 2765.

I will do this once I have finally go that sensor replaced.

I think I may have wasted a ton of cash on parts I didn't need. Hey, ho.

If I could legally delete the EGR and DPF.

Hi Great detail. Do you think a sooted up, choked EGR valve would give the same error code.

Hi
I have Exhaust gas recirculation Temp sensor A -Circuit high (P040D) and also EGR Sensor B Circuit (P0486)
My question is do they both need changing or can the sensor affect / cause the P0486 to flag up or vise versa? Help please

Now it’s getting a bit more regular. The fault is always there but sometimes it goes into RP, no other fault codes come up and it does eventually clear, either on thE IID or just by leaving it for a while..

I’m thinking that I’ll limp on for a few weeks and when it gets warmer, tackle this, the donut hoses and oil cooler seals all in one go.

Well, so far I`m stripped down and have cut the sensor with a hack saw blade? moved the heat shield out of the way and got the socket on.
I did soak the manifold over 3-4 days with CRC but it is a right Censored to move at the moment? just worried about shearing the Censored off? Big Cry

Mine was tight but with a 'crack' it moved

As long as you are confident the CRC went directly on/down the sensor should be ok

. Cheers, Greg

Yes, I'm sure it went on as I checked each time with the borescope nice to have the light on the end? Having a cup of tea now, waiting for some more CRC penetration? then have another go, not in any rush.

Well got it done over 3 days? and plenty of cups of tea.
I would suggest getting the right angle to undo the thing, the method that is recommended should be followed to the letter?
Also, any other advice that has been suggested, Mine was tight so warmed the engine up after soaking again and it undid the Censored
It can be done and will save 2.5 hours of JLR cost plus parts.
Level of difficulty 11 out of 10? patience required more than you would think Big Cry Checked the IID for faults none found and no fuel smell from the exhaust?
Big thanks to GGDR for the wiki post. Thumbs Up Bow down
