I know someone posted on here about a trolley brush type thing you connected to a hose or pressure washer and you wheeled it about under the car.

Not tried one, but it would get mud etc off.

You’d have to get more hands on I think if you want to treat any surface rust etc.

Off road height.

Spray degreaser mixed with hot water from a garden sprayer

Pressure wash off with one that has a 45-90 degree elbow attachment? Mine does.

--> next time you service something underneath, pick a new spot, grab a brush, degreaser and brake cleaner and spend 5 mins giving that area a good old scrub. All my sub frames are clean now and all the road grime on the gearbox is also now gone, through doing 5 mins here and there. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

when i did mine i did have a 4 post ramp at hand in the workshop and took me a couple of weeks to clean it all down
i used a lot of wire brush items that fits in to a drill and just keep going over and take your time when you have a area done spray or paint on some of the many types of rust removal types of spray or paint . and then i used a lot of wax oil items through a schultz gun and put a lot on over to days i put on over 30 ltrs of protection under side and in side box sections etc .when i put it in for my first mot they could not believe how good the underside was looking i think they said wow what a job . but then i have been doing cars and spraying all my life that could have something to do with it i suppose i say if you are going to do something do it to the very best you can. i used a lot of pure 15 items which is acid base after cleaning down with wire items new vehicle purchase

I think oggy has hit the nail on the head, there really is no short, easy way to do this properly, like a lot of jobs, at the end of the day it involves lots of time and elbow grease Big Cry

I’ve just done mine. There’s no quick way to do it.

I removed my subframe, wishbones, etc and sent them away for shot blasting before using Bilt Hamber Epoxy Mastic to paint it.

If you’ve got access to a ramp you might be able to do it in situ but working underneath it whilst lying on your back will not be easy nor a pleasant job.
