It takes literally 30 seconds to remove the MAP sensor off the plenum, if it looks gummed up & the hole in the plenum is blocked up, odds on yours needs a clean up.
I've read people on here say they clean their MAP sensor on a yearly basis, something I shall now be doing as well.
Have a look & see what lurks beneath Smile
I've got a few photos but dare say someone on here will have a better guide.
Let me know if you want any photos. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I clean my MAP sensor every 2-3k miles. Also you can remove the elbow to the throttle plate and check the state of fouling on it (My plate was very clean). 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

So as it's a sunny Saturday for once and definitely wasn't prepared to go and see Saints lose 6-0, I did a bit of a health check.

The MAP sensor was slightly caked up but not bad. Anyway, cleaned up and back in.

Took off the elbow and was all pretty clean inside - just that little bit of residue which I cleaned up then put it all back together.

Bottom right of picture look like intake gunk - your throttle elbow joint may be leaking? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

When I took it off, i noticed it wasn't seated on the throttle body properly. When I put it back, I made sure it was the whole way on. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
