You are absolutely right 7 CBD!! Doesn't hurt any of us to take a step back, or watch the News from Ukraine now and again to put things into perspective. We must enjoy what we have but I'm sure most on here, if not all, help the less fortunate in lots of other ways! All LR cars from 1984

Jeeeeeezzzzzz - These stories surrounding electric cars get worse - I never realised they had so many potential issues.

A friend of mine who's a car dealer, claims another reason used car prices are going up and up, is not just because of reduced production and chip shortages, but also because people don't want electric cars. Seems these comments probably reinforce this belief!

How does that fit with the proportion of EV sales continuously increasing month by month? We are on our third (bmw i3, Jaguar iPace, Volvo c40. If Land Rover made a full EV I would probably have had one. There are certainly issues with the charging network - terrible in mid wales and Scottish Borders, Yorkshire dales amongst plenty of places. But we managed 630 miles in a weekend refinery charging quickly at rugby services and gridserve Braintree forecourt so it depends where you go

Some EV drivers talk blinkered over optimistic nonsense and pretend there are no problems. Some ice drivers talk unduly pessimistic nonsense about EVs and claim that nobody could ever live with one. After 70000 electric miles in three EVs over six years the truth is somewhere between the two.

I actually ate my words and changed my order to a PHEV - You need to keep up Laughing Laughing

At 02:34 one can see that the lower half of the tail gate remains more or less with the same size. At least that's what it appears to me...

I think Autocar’s magazine review is expected tomorrow - not sure whether this will give any more than what’s online already. 2016 SDV8 AB

Whilst it is nice to see the vehicles most of the presenters are woefully unimpressive letters not necessarily in the right order

They are aren't they. Very low grade compared to what we're used to with new car reviews. I've not heard of any of them for what seems like pretty obvious reasons.

Contrast this with the FFRR actual launch? Channels like Harry's Garage were first off the block with some decent and insightful content. Must be some background story as to why this is being handled the way it is. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Certainly the first time I can remember where I have driven the car and formed my opinions before I’ve seen any of my normal ‘go-to’ journalists review it…

Long time away, we're 4x 405 and 2x late model RRS owners, but rather more Stuttgart product last couple of years.

Hmm, LR and the launch of this new car. What a shambles.

Steve Cropley's column in the most recent Autocar magazine tells it all (and, I think, unprecedented for Autocar to say anything challenging to a UK manufacturer at a launch) - they weren't even allowed to use their own photography to accompany their first-drive article...!!! So the cover shot is an awful render of a matt-finished something or other.

Is keeping it a secret now the new marketing magic bullet?

Why haven't any big channels been invited to test drive the cars at the press event like Carwow, Harry's Garage etc. Harry and Matt Watson both got invited to the reveal. I wonder what on earth the team who organised the press reviews were thinking?
