Not sure when the fibre MOST system was introduced, 2005?. You will need the BMW iBus system in your car for the android unit for a BMW to work.

I’d normally ask if it’s a touchscreen in your car, but you might not have a screen….

Unless you are ripping stuff out and replacing as a whole.

incorrect - you will be able to get the bus feed from the clock which is one of a handful of units to retain it until the 2010 facelift. You will be able to. make it work. you will need to make a couple of harnesses from eBay - piece of cake I can find you some item numbers it will cost about £20.

Then you need to work out if you want to retain the existing sound system in which case you need an orca to most box (I may have one for sale) which is great but it maxes the volume so if you are young you may hear a little bit of high pitched interference. but it may have just been me. or you can buy a harness which will need a slight repin for a rr sport for around £50 and a 6 channel infinity or able amp and use the stock speakers. Current stable:

Tbf if you go down route one of the most adapter it takes about 10 minutes longer than a Bmw era one you just need to name together the three ready made harnesses to convert from Bmw pin layout to jlr.

But yes if you want to ditch most its a fair bit more involved. Current stable:

I thinking of making a speaker loom from the android down to the back so i can utilize the amp / speaker harness then i thought it would just be a case of power to run everything but as i say , i welcome all the advice / help anyones willing to give

As a side thought, The stock speakers are fairly good and would handle a decent amp if you did end up adding one and wiring direct from the android head unit, bypassing factory stuff.

At least you can do something then, if you want to make up harnesses.

If you are doing amp you will need this and a slight repin to cater for the rear surrounds and subs

https://incartec.co.uk/product/20-314-LOGIC7

Something like this works good or an equivalent (the infinity one is identical with a different badge though)

https://www.amp-performance.de/en/273-JBL-GTO-6000.html

Then this is what you need for the headunit whatever :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RADIO-STEREO-HE...635-2958-0

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adapter-Quadloc...635-2958-0

And maybe this to mount somewhere? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-2-0-dual-Ma...635-2958-0

You’ll want a decent 6channel 5m rca lead too, and a 1f to 2m rca adapter for the sub.

I really hope you went 10.25 screen to make the most of it.

When we’ve done these in the past as has been suggested the amp appears to have been the bottleneck not the speakers - the speakers are bloody brilliant and can take a beating. Current stable:

As the most adapters start at around £100 plus shipping you may be not far off the same money for something like this and the harness and rcas if you have the time
