Looks like the bolts were finger tight after an oil change? I would refit with new bolts and Penny washers. Torque it up to spec, and carry on regardless. |

For clarity, my piece is actually in a few bits as it broke when it came off....I was just wondering if it is something I should be worried about replacing? |

It protect to the engine sump and other bits from road debris flicking up etc

Had a look underneath for the first time ( only had her a couple of week)...all looks pretty good under there from a rust perspective.

Keep a close eye on the coolant expansion tank for signs of oil.
