ABS Module fault?

So I jumped in the car yesterday, started it up only to be met with a full dash of lights, cycling through EBD fault, ABS fault, stability control not available, gearbox fault etc.

I plugged in the IID tool and it appears that the ABS module has died or something as it's no longer communicating with the rest of the vehicle.

The battery seemed a little low so I put a new one on but faults are still present and won't clear. Fuses for the ABS module appear to be fine too.

Anyone had this before?

Cheers

Hi Stan, I did indeed.

Unfortunately resting didn't seem to do anything. 2013 FFRR Vogue SE

I'll chuck it on the CTEK in AGM mode over night, I don't hold out much hope though as even with the CTEK in supply mode it didn't make any difference.

The terminals were tight before I replaced the battery, and were tight after replacing the battery. Secondary battery was secure too. 2013 FFRR Vogue SE

I had this on my 2004. All the lights went on. Went to LR and they said "oh yes sir, needs new ABS module - that'll be £1000.

"get stuffed' said I. I then took the ABS module off and saw a light corrosion on the teeth (It's badly made by BMW and sits upside down so collects water - on the 2004 anyway).

Anyhow, a quick brush of the teeth and contact spray and all good and remained so for another 60,000 miles.

CTEK is on the car again, no change.

I removed the airbox and removed the plug that connects to the DSC module, the pins are clean and free of corrosion, re-seated it and checked again, still no change.

I've booked the car in for proper diagnostics at a local specialist next week, then we'll see if whatever it is is covered by the warranty the car came with Rolling Eyes 2013 FFRR Vogue SE

Check the earth terminal in the front OS wheel arch. Known to cause ABS faults when corrosion sets in Thumbs Up

How do you get to this, looks like something that should be cleaned up and given a generous coating of ACF50 before it gets this far? Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

It's behind the front right wheel arch liner, here:

I decided to drill a new hole, clean off the paint and insert a rivnut, and then finish with a stainless bolt coated in ACF50.
