Hi, 2011 4.4TDV8 could someone please let me know what the Torque settings are for crankshaft bolt, water pump bolts and pulley bolts, also where is the thermostat, what do you have to take off to gain access to it, replaced my serpentine belt and alternator only to find out a bit of belt wrapped around crank pulley, initial test drives after my work didn’t show any oil leak but after driving further bit of belt must have ended up damaging crankshaft seal. Note bit of belt poking out in photo didn’t notice it first time I stripped it down.

Have a look in the WM in the Wiki. May take a search around to find all you need, but reckon most would be in there, most likely in the removal/refitting sections for parts.

eg the water pump bolts are listed at 23Nm

The thermmostst details are in the cooling section of the WM. Should also tell what to remove for access.

I'm using the 2010-2012 manual, not the one which includes the 3.6/4.4/5.0 engines. It's the top of the 3 for the 2010/2012 models

Download and unzip/open with Adobe reader and it should come out in folders which are self explanatory. No index as such.

All done and saved on my computer, the more I work on the car the less afraid I am of it and this WM will be a great help, thanks for your help Richard and Graeme who I seem to always count on to answer one of my Questions, cheers will update this when I reassemble with the new parts.

Just reading through about the crankshaft seal, gee Landrover like their special tools 😂 they say don’t reuse the crank bolt, my mechanic who works on my car, but is flat out till Xmas then closed to beginning of Feb, and we’re going away in the caravan after new year, he never mentioned that and torque on that bolt is 600nm might have to borrow or see if I can hire a bigger Torque wrench, will have to see what size pipe I’ve got at home and make some of my own tools, like the fan pulley bolt holder to get fan off, took me thirty minutes I now have a tool that would have cost me around $280aud.
Was also interesting to see instructions made no mention of using a pulley remover, I know it’s keyed so hope it comes off easy.

I haven't seen the instructions for tightening the 4.4's crankshaft bolt but if it's similar to the 3.0 TDV6 then the bolt is a stretch bolt, tightened to a torque which is it's yield point then turned more, so should not be re-used.

Not having much luck, parts should arrive tomorrow, finished my jobs early today so thought I’d get the thermostat housing and water pump off so I’m ready to fit new parts, took thermostat housing off and everything came out with the help of the spring, found a little bit of plastic in there, realised when looking at WM picture there should be two little tabs that hold the thermostat in place, NO there gone, when I took the little hose clip out and removed hose found out part of the clip retainer was missing, ordered parts, unfortunately you have to buy the entire housing part # LR110459 not just the part that I want, it’s part number is NSS (not supplied separately) 😂 should be here Wednesday
