To move on…..

…. Think it’ll be between Mercedes and Ferrari next year as all of their focus in development has been on next season’s car, red bull focused on this years!

It will also be interesting to see how good Russell really is in a car with pace. Will team orders be already decided??

Mclaren have improved impressively in the last 12 months, lets hope they continue progressing.
Red Bull will suffer Mad Max syndrome as all the back markers wont give way like Lewis did.
Can see plenty of whinging and bleating from MadMax next year lol
Good to see Ocon and Gasley competing, pity they are not in competitive cars
Ferrari last won a championship in 2008, cant see it for a few more years yet

But with a decent team mate Mercedes will now destroy the field, what a poor showing Botas had in the final GP of the season, sums up his time with Mercedes 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Anyone know how big the bung was that Red Bull threw at Latifi? .

Could you honestly keep a straight face when saying that ?

The rules were clearly ignored AND changed on the fly - there were 2 options - Undo all the lapped cars or leave them all in place. Either has president and could be argued as fair. Third (and most likely correct) option, is the boring one of finishing under the safety car.

The decision Masi made clearly favoured Max in a big way. As soon as it was announced, every single commentator said the same thing.

Surely you can't look at it objectively and consider it fair ? Because of an unrelated incident a 12 second advantage and 5 car s of traffic are wiped out and your opponent is on fresh, soft rubber.

I think Max is a worthy champion, but not a fair winner of that race unfortunately.

Here here... Well said that man Thumbs Up

Question is, did MB deliberately mix up the tyres during the pit stop so that GR would have to come back in, therefore ensuring he didn’t win the race?
Personally I don’t thing I so, but I’ve never seen a situation like that happening before. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Agreed, Alistair’s comments are spot on. MB made their decision to keep Lewis out in accordance with established practice.

I’m upset that this controversy has overshadowed the great competition between Lewis & Max this year, but I can’t see that MB had any option other than to appeal.

Roll on next year…..

Even marko from redbull ain't happy about the regulations and how the fia have been this year.

Masi needs the boot or as I said earlier I suspect a few teams might say no thanks as they can put all the work into win a race and then the rules can change on the last lap.

Amazing how things get twisted. The context in which he made that remark was about the speed of decision making regarding maxs championship not about a change of rules at all from last Sunday.

I've no dog in this fight so to speak, well, other than I think Hamilton is a numpty of the highest order and Max is something of a throwback to when F1 was racing. But my goodness that last lap was never morally correct. Max knows this full well, and if it doesn't bother him then so be it. Shocking decision by race control.

That's why i said the whole year. The fia haven't done a great job n just allowed the rules to be changed when they felt like it. If they carry on like this what's stopping them from saying next year when MV is leading George Russel is 2nd, Perez 3rd and LH 4th but they all have back markers in between except Mv as he is leading. I think he would be well within his rights too get the hump if the safety car gets called out and the 3rd,4th get told they can jump the traffic without any concerns or penalties when he had too work too get past them
