They will if the fia won't abide by their own rules.

It's black and white that all lapped cars had too go past but masi didn't allow that. Even when appealed they still said nope. That pretty much says it all that the FIA is corrupt and will do as they please.

If they want too settle it properly then why not let them both on the track head to head in a 25lap sprint race and see who's the better driver then

Most of these hilarious comments are yours.

"They just choose a strategy that didn't pay off" -- Red Bull were losing, they had no choice and were forced in every change. The better Man/Driver had built up a lead that RB could not compete with.

If the role was reversed MV would have taken LH out on that last lap, we all know that.

The better Man/Driver refused to lower himself to Mad Max's standards and emerged the true winner.

Respect--Lewis, something MadMax will never have.[/quote]

Totally agree 100% Thumbs Up

Bean19844 Nice one,, and the winner is ? mmmmm difficult one.......... Thumbs Up

As do rules. Which were ignored and changed to favour Max. Whats the point of it all if the rule book is ignored and a race official decides the World Championship on a whim - that's not his job.

The rules weren't ignored, as such they weren't changed, and thus they favoured nobody. There was a race incident, that caused the safety car to be deployed, the track become clear, the race continued.

Can you genuinely say that you believe how the race ended was a fair result.

I mean if it was me and you down the snooker Hall and you was winning 90-15 but the ref said next ball wins to which I do and win, would you feel happy handing your range rover over too me.

Course you wouldn't. It's not about the whole race, it's all about how inconsistent the FIA have been. Lh has gained/lost,MV has gained/lost over the season but even when you look at max you can get the sense he knows he didn't win the race fairly as the excitement level aint there for him

That is not what happened though, the ref didn't cause the crash or made the safety car come out unnecessarily. Sure it has been a season of many controversial events. If you look at the entirety of the year Max has had more podium finishes, he definitely is a winner. He has also had many controversial decisions not favouring him and vice versa.

You and I must have been looking at different thing, Max was super excited. My gosh just look at him party with Martin Garrix. What isn't exited is Toto bringing out the lawyer immediately. I think that was yet again a stupid Mercedes strategic action. If someone did that to me, I'd switch off listening to them immediately.

Anyway, its done. Max is the deserved world champion, he raced hard this year. Hopefully next year Lewis is still in it to give him some competition. I'm looking forward to what Red Bull can do with the Honda IP and engineers with their own engine next year. As whilst it was good, Mercedes's engine was just awesome.

Could you honestly keep a straight face when saying that ?

The rules were clearly ignored AND changed on the fly - there were 2 options - Undo all the lapped cars or leave them all in place. Either has president and could be argued as fair. Third (and most likely correct) option, is the boring one of finishing under the safety car.

The decision Masi made clearly favoured Max in a big way. As soon as it was announced, every single commentator said the same thing.

Surely you can't look at it objectively and consider it fair ? Because of an unrelated incident a 12 second advantage and 5 car s of traffic are wiped out and your opponent is on fresh, soft rubber.

I think Max is a worthy champion, but not a fair winner of that race unfortunately.

We clearly disagree, and none of this armchair experts arguing matters either. You know I'm right, Max is the champion, the FIA has ruled. The facts are all out there...

So yes my face is pretty straight, I'm not the one trying to change the narrative or goalposts of this situation.

You do know that people from the UK are Europeans as well Wink Anyway nice for Lewis, hope it fits with his political views. Comes across as hypocritical of him accepting that title.
