It’s easy for me to say with hindsight, but really Mercedes called it wrong,

I think it’s a shame we’re talking about the rules rather than the racing. It’s great that the competition has been closer but I think the stewards have ruined the racing element here with some very mixed / poor communication. Congrats to Max and the team today, Mercedes have made an error on tactics . |

No need for rules next year if Racing control cant follow their own rules.

Whoever was in charge……wasn’t in charge today. You have to be consistent on communications and messaging as well as he rules, otherwise it impacts the team decisions (or leads teams to try and influence the stewards)

If Hamilton had pitted, Verstappen would have stayed out and started ahead. Then it would have been interesting.

Even as horner has said, mercedes had the stronger car. I think that kinda says a lot tbh when they know the red bull ain't on par with the silver arrows. Even if Lewis gave the first corner back, the silver arrows would have pulled the lead back but look at what it took for red bull too win

Still bad practise from the fia not following their own rules. Just shows that the fia will and always do what they like to make the results work for them.

@bean considering Mercedes went in with their barrister I doubt they threw away half their rule book.

I think we can all say, that it was the most thrilling-to-watch, year of formula 1 ever. everybody guessing, and no clear favourite. Yes, controversy, yes questionable driver decisions... but some of the driving, head to head, has been the best there ever has been. -and today, the whole year, was all down to the last lap, of the last race, both titles, swinging both ways, until that last lap. if it was a Hollywood movie, it would be how this year panned out. and, without the polarised supporters calling out every talking point, we saw some fantastic driving, in both the opening laps, and the last laps through the whole year. Brilliant for spectators, fans, and people new to the sport. normally, I somehow snooze a little during a live race.... but not this year! today I was jumping up and down, and shouting! fantastic stuff! |
