Finally got around to fitting the engine cover now that I am reasonably confident that work is finished on top of the engine.
I will keep a close eye on temperatures to ensure all is well. Hopefully the engine will now sound much quieter. David Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006 Ford Focus EcoBoost 1.5 2017 MG TF 2003 Previous Cars of note Land Rover Discovery 2 Jaguar Mk2 3.8 - Company car MG Midget 1974 - Concours |

I tried the first time to do it in situ but gave up. Now I just remove the trim every time. It’s been missing on both of the L322’s I’ve bought so has been refitted straight away when I’ve got them home.

Agree with both of you, I wonder if its because they are now new old stock and are therefore harder than when originally manufactured. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

My subframe bushes looked great from the sides, it was only when I removed the frame that you could see them deteriorating on the top where they mount to the body.

Thanks David, not quite sure how to respond to that, think I will just cross my fingers and hope for the best. |

I adjusted the brakes as I said above to no avail.
