My RR has no roof rail system for the roof bars, what options do I have for fitting roof bars? (L405)

Is it simply a thule type set up.

Not sure of what systems you can use without the rails but you can retrofit the rails, here is a link to a set from Powerful uk which has a video on how to fit them:

Fitting rails seems to be the only option unless something has changed recently. Likely the pan roof that's the issue, but not confirmed -

I ended up fitting Genuine LR rails and cross bars… be prepared to be amazed how much they can charge for these things. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

If you have a tow bar fitted then I'd use that instead

If not, then it's a hefty investment either way.

Agreed I have both and it’s much easier to put stuff on the back…It’s a long way up…

I have the pano roof and fitted a set of roof bars to mine.

The car had a bare roof.
1) That is why we need rails first. To the rails need covers under them with holes. Rails - only the original, it is clear. 650$ rails: VPLGR0079 Overlays: 300$ VPLGR0097
2) Started monitoring the crossbars (trunk). It comes out only the original (Thule production) VPLGR0102. In general on boxes and luggage racks on L405 materials just a minimum. There is a post on the drive here and all. I google, find a picture of Kiev company on luggage racks. The price tag by the way is only 100$ cheaper than the original.

3) Box. Here long ago decided, even on Cayenne wanted to put. Box ... Porsche! This is OEM production from Thule. In reality, it is a top box Thule Excellence XT with phenomenal characteristics: 520(!) liters at a height of 40cm, double-sided opening and all other pluses. Thule itself has discontinued it and even the newest Vector series has worse parameters. Yes, Porsche doesn't have a flashlight, net and a couple of other little things. But the last price on these Thule's were $2,000 each. And the Porsche is $1,250.
In general, as a result, I have a phenomenal 520l at a height of 40cm, and this means a lot, for example in parking lots (photo below).
Now about impressions: up to 100 there is no noise at all, further increases, but not critical. 140-160 it is possible to go. 180-begins some whistling. Total up to 160 it is possible to drive without strain at all.

I used the Thule system and bought the feet for a RRS and the widest Thule wing bars. Did about a 1000 miles to Cornwall and back with a box in without issue. I think the reason they don’t show them as compatible is because the pan roof won’t open with it on (it does on the RRS).

No issues as long as you remember not to open it with the bars on!
