Due to lack of use (2k per year for the last two years) I am putting up the 2007 Vogue SE for sale.
Its java black with a Westphalia towbar.
I purchased it nearly two years ago from a forum member and it now has 104k on it.
The previous advert on this forum advert can be seen here

hope thats okay Tom.

I will put some photos on tomorrow but its not changed with 2 more subsequent services. The reg stayed with the previous owner therefore the reg is different now. Its got 12 months MOT. Some advisories but nothing significant. It comes with full service history and is a lovely car.
It has an issue. It occasionally goes into limp mode but clears on turning the engine off and re starting. I have had the codes read and its saying map sensor A. The sensor has been cleaned and swapped with sensor B. Price is 6.7 k to reflect this.
Some more photos will be posted tomorrow.
Donation to site if sold on here.
There’s a spare set of alloys to go with it with winter tyres on. Two with decent tread two with less so.
I am based near Penrith

Ok I have now had the issue sorted it was a split pipe. Diagnosed with a smoke machine and replaced

Some pics below to add to Tom’s in the link. Everything works as it should be and it really is a good example.
I am adjusting the price to cover the cost of getting it sorted so it’s now 6900

With it going into limp, does this happen at first startup? Or when driving etc? Is there any particular circumstances that cause it to go into limp? I'm wanting a slightly newer one than my 2004 and from the images last time this looked nice. 2005 E60 M5

It mainly does it when your going up a slight hill and ease off at the top. Typically when it’s cold. I looked at the hoses at the top and they seem fine. It will then run for miles with no issues. Looking at people with a similar issue on here it ended up being a crack in one of the inlet manifolds so I guess that’s the worst case scenario. I may get a smoke test on it next week.

Thanks for the info, I'd be interested to know the results of a smoke test. I expect inlet manifold replacement is far beyond my capabilities. 2005 E60 M5

Have a read up on how to change the EGR's as the inlet manifold needs to come off to do them. It really is not hard to remove

Thanks L19
Will look at that. I think a new one is around 500-600. But would need to check

Personally I have not come across a cracked inlet manifold yet on the 3.6 (but other people certainly have) but I have seen loads and loads of split intercooler hoses, they always seem to go at the back so you cannot see them too so taking them off and then bending them about is the only way to find the split normally.

Once found some duct tape wrapped round is normally enough to get you by until replacements turn up

See above issue now sorted. It was a split hose and now runs as it should do.
I have changed the price to 6900 to reflect the issue has now gone
