As a concerned user, I'm asking myself, wouldn't it be easier to just replace the dipsticks? Will all service technicians remember this bulletin over the years? |

In short order, yes it would be better to replace and; no future technicians won't know unless they refer to some records. Speaking as an owner of more than one classic car this has happened several times to my knowledge in the past (not always dip-sticks) and unless you get an older mechanic to work on your car when it's past it's prime problems will get overlooked or expensively solved again.

I can predict I right tizzy with these (our) engines as future us’s don’t know if they have the new/correct dipstick or the old incorrect one. The only way is to drain and measure! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso |
