United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Causeway Grey
Front Hydro Bush

Guys just had a 60 month service and the dealer has picked up on the "front Hydro Bushes " split, i do a google search on that description name on the inspection sheet but nothing comes back, any ideas as to the terminology ? is it the bush on the ACE arm?

Hi Pat, he's referring to one of the bushes on one of your front lower suspension arms.

A hydrobush is oil-filled as opposed to a traditional, solid rubber bush. This provides a more progressive response of the bush as the wheel deflects (ie. more deflection = more firmness in the bush).

ACE (active cornering enhancement) refers to the old active (hydraulic) anti-roll bar sytem from the Discovery 2. It's called Dynamic Response now, but many people still call it ACE. You will have this as you have the SDV8, the SDV6 does not. There are two bushes on the active anti-roll bar but these are solid rubber D-bushes which is the same as a normal, solid anti-roll bar.
