The right solution as you say is to replace with a more modern module, so that may come at a later date, for now I cant justify the cost when I still have a list of more important jobs.

Out of interest, what makes you think you have a vacuum leak?

Hi, i have an 07 4.2SC. It was fairly poorly cared for before i got it. I have been chasing a misfire on cylinder 8 since i got it. Changed all the usual stuff but still it persisted. Kept getting the misfire code and both cat efficiency codes. Obviously the engine light was a daily occurence. Like you my cat 2 sensor readings were jumping all over the place.

David, thanks your comments made me think, if leaks are uncommon/unknown then why have I got an issue? / have I got an issue?

I use Microsoft OneNote to keep a history of servicing, parts and specific jobs that I have done or need to do. I also add links to my calendar and Microsoft ToDo which sync to my mobile and other devices. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006
