Av input help

Hi. So I had the converter lead already on the tv unit in boot. Tried connecting laptop up via an hdmi converter that is known good via projector. I get sound but no video. If I pull the video plug it gets a poor signal as you connect back up but I wonder what the problem can be. Set it to pal and ntsc but neither work. Anyone had anything similar? Cheers

Just to check, have you tried AUX instead of CD? John

I'm not entiry sure of your system but with NavTool, which I have fitted, to get audio I have to press the Audio button (the hard button beside the screen) and select AUX.

I wondered if yours had similar? John

I’m pretty sure the av channel on tv mutes until video signal is received. I guess I need to try something like a DVD player with av out as the input to prove it’s not the converted hdmi signal causing the problem
