I'm not entiry sure of your system but with NavTool, which I have fitted, to get audio I have to press the Audio button (the hard button beside the screen) and select AUX.

I’m pretty sure the av channel on tv mutes until video signal is received. I guess I need to try something like a DVD player with av out as the input to prove it’s not the converted hdmi signal causing the problem |
