Air con

Noticed on my 2011 l322 tdv8
The air con can take 10/15 mins to get coldish !!!
Will it need a re gas
Seems strange as normally if a re gas needed it never gets cold. Any advice guys

air con looses gases after a while and i would certainly start with a regas and go from there. ... - .- -.

Definitely sounds like you have lost SOME gas. Before having it re-gassed, ask them to wave a detector 'sniffer' around the system to see if they can find a leak. Also, you can buy a detector for R134a for around £24

Main point is can you find a leak, if so then the system has to have the remaining gas recovered, system fixed, pressure tested and then re-gassed.

If you use a detector £24, and find no leaks, then adding gas requires a tool with pressure gauge £20 and gas bottle £60 ( £10 refund on bottle ) Easy to do at home, loads of videos around showing how to do it.

Discounting the £44 for tools, I recently re-gassed four cars for a total of £100, thus £25 a car, happy days.
I do work on large A/C and Fridge plants as part of my job, but the videos should see you right as for testing / re-gassing. Hope this helps Thumbs Up

i believe kwik fit and maybe others sell a regas with a 'if its not colder you get your money back' guarantee...worth exploring.. ... - .- -.
