2011 indicator fix?

Hi, can anyone help? the drivers indicator on my 2011 Autobiography has stopped working. I have swopped both front (n/s, o/s) just to check it wasn't the module at fault and it's defiantly the drivers indicator that's u/s. Been told that you can't get the indicator from L/R and it's a full unit replacement?

Anyone done a fix on these units? As I think that £1430 + Vat is a bit steep for an indicator? and yes I know you can get one's off ebay, but they are still around the £600 mark for a good one.

Any solutions?

I'm afraid I've never seen a fix yet! Failures are few and far between... Doesn't help you though I know!

Wow! £1.4k for an indicator relay?

Surely it cannot cost more than £100 to wire up all the indicators (or £125 including hazards) on any car. Add the normal JLR 100% markup and still no way to justify more than £250 all in 2010 Range Rover TDV8 Baltic Blue Autobiography (2011 MY) - SOLD

Graham Nic is referring to the cost of a complete new headlight unit, which I assumed could not be opened to exchange the LED indicator unit.
CTC seems to have confirmed this, as, if he has not seen a fix, there probably isn't one.

Before you look at the used prices for these light units, you need to have a stiff drink in your hand even 'S' class brand new units max at 1k, once again LR spares prices are ridiculous.

is it the indicator stalk that you are referring to or that the indicator lights not working..

if the latter then it could be the LCM which is wet or has corroded connections....this is located behind the trim panel where the bonnet release handle is.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan, it is the headlight unit that's faulty. I swopped over the units to eliminate the module and the fault is in the unit it's self.

Hi, I have seen videos of fixes on earlier units ((06-09 models), so I know how to separate the unit, but there is no point in doing this unless I can get the part to replace the defective bit? My local spares shop say that there is a part number listed, but the company don't sell/stock it? Probably JLR still hold the patent/licence on the part?

Have you tried BBA Reman? When I contacted them about a rear light? They said that they could take it apart.

These were on an episode of Wheeler Dealers and fixed an ABS unit?

Could be worth a phone call.
