L405 TouchPro Duo No Sound

1 month into ownership and my 2nd problem.

No sound from Radio/TV/Sat Nav/Telephone proximity etc etc
The volume button switches on and off but level is stuck on 12 and no sound.
There is an option to choose Stereo/Meridian/DTS/Dolby etc but it won't move from Stereo position.

I believe its at best a fuse, but tried them all using the fuse legend in the handbook, BUT not the Fuse Links (FL*) yet,
I dont have a drawing showing these beauties, (if anyone has would be grateful if you would share it) and of course they are not easy accessible in the loadspace fuse panel. Especially if you have fingers like a bunch of bananas lol

The other option of course its the amplifier.

Again as its an approved used in warranty, dont want to dive into this (unless its a simple fix like a fuse)
I have it booked at the dealer earliest appointment end of 1st week in May.

There is some info about this issue on the RRS forum and it says there is mention of the issue in the software update 19B. It may be worth you checking what software version you are on (I think I am on 20C) and making sure it is up to date

I see your car is a 2018 model. Is it the facelift?

If it is, then your problem could well be one of the many software issues I had with my car, including no volume. The dealer only resolved the issues by fitting a brand new 2020 unit. Since then, up until the time I sold the car, everything worked perfectly. All LR cars from 1984

I have the latest infotainment software S20C****.

But while on the subject of updates I also notice when you scroll down from Infotaiment update, to vehicle software update, it shows no software number and when you try to update it, it continues in a loop "checking for update" it never completes the cycle ? Is that normal?
I believe its unrelated to the sound issue though.
I have been watching RRS forum and others.

Chalky
Yes its facelift.

I think you might have to have the dealer activate SOTA All LR cars from 1984

Thanks Chalky
I will certainly ask when it goes in, but thought as Infotainment update is working, that SOTA was therefore enabled?
I certainly updated the Infotainment software remotely on 18th March from 19C to 20C

Yes sounds as if it has been enabled so they should be able to sort it out for you. Have you checked audio settings under the settings tab? All LR cars from 1984

Here are the fuses: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic58513.html
The ones for multimedia are in the right part of the trunk/boot, 48, 50, 51, etc.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a minute?

Chalky--Audio settings all checked it was the first thing I did.

adara--Thx but your fuse layout is different to mine as an example I dont have any fuses in F1 to F6.
But I like your diagram, it shows your Fuse links FL* I dont have that in my load space fuse panel, it would be handy they are not easy to id or access.

It will be a Fuse Link but need to remove upper access panel that incorporates the rear speaker to get access. Managed to squeeze the phone in to get this picture

It was the Amp Module that was frozen, solution was to remove Fuselink to reset system and update module.
They also installed the new Infotainment Software S21A_21.106-676616 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thank you! I wonder whether these fuses are available as parts. The micro fuses are already hard to find...

I had to get some micro fuses a while back and ended up at an auto electrics supplier. I think it’s a case of they aren’t sold at your general auto store and you have to get a bit creative when shopping for them.

Now I know where to go it’s not a problem.👍🏻 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
