design pack exhaust trims

Hi all

I am stuck and angry...

My existing design pack exhaust trims had all corroded so I bought some new ones from powerful which seem prettt much identical.

Anyway I’ve mounted them and the just look Censored , they are on the Censored and have big gaps.

As the majority of the alignment is done on the trim pieces above, do these ever get warped with heat or stress which could cause this issue as I am stuck and annoyed as it looks worse than before now

I don’t have the design pack on mine admittedly, but they look a different shape.... might be wrong.

How do they compare to your originals shape and dimension wise?

Perhaps you can get your original ones coated or something.....

I’m sure I saw a similar thread on here recently..shape wise, was just going by this pic....

Thumbs Up

They look pretty much the same shape but I didn’t have the catch cans on the back of the originals they were originally blanks and I took the plate out. I’ve had them recoated once about 3 years ago just thought these may last longer Current stable:

I wondered that as well Stan, but wasn’t sure enough to suggest it.

Sounds like you need a Plan B, involving the original ones, if nobody comes along with better help....

If the mounts on the trims are warped from heat could this cause my issue?

Without seeing all the bits - assuming that the bolt holes are in brackets fixed to the new tips, then enlarge the bolt holes a little and bolt on, using bigger washers if needed, may give you 'wiggle' room to adjust the position.
Just a guess, hope this helps.

Oooopppss, disregard my idea, posted this and had not seen the last two photos

I would suggest buying genuine ones rather than cheap copies, that might be your problem.

The original ones I have seem to mount the same now they have come off which I why I'm now thinking the mounts have warped the heat and I disturbed them. Current stable:

Ok a minor update - I got my powerfully trim replicas abs they looked almost identical except had slightly bigger clips...

Anyway went through putting them in and they still looked rubbish but one side looked good. I then realised on the exhausts ends ends rather than using plastic washers as spacers they had welded in threaded nuts, then once tightened I obviously couldn’t tighten into the top securing nut. I also may have bolts a little long but they were original.

With that information in hand I will try again and I will have a set of three trims for sale now too as they weren’t at fault 😂 Current stable:

Sorted Thumbs Up

Nice job, One quick question if I may, have you put new Range Rover letters on the tailgate ? Those you have are the colour I need for the front of mine, but I don't know the exact colour to order, or which supplier to use, different suppliers seem to change the colour slightly. Cheers Thumbs Up
