Totally. Maybe I think they will be reasonable. If they say it’s free then I will pay some money I’m not a Censored taker. If it’s full price I will say I am paying under protest and the reasons why or we can negotiate to a price that both sides are happy with. Fingers crossed.

Cheers for everyone’s support. I never envisaged 24 pages of not much happening!!! Current Cars

I rang up. Got Sean he said it was fixed but going for a test drive. I said can he call me back once it’s done so I know what time to head over as I need to get an Uber and going to cost me £30-£40 and didn’t want to get half way again and find out it’s the wrong car wrong ashley or not working. I asked him to speak with Martin also around payment and what he wants to do.

This Guy Martin is on one of the FB forums and comes across as a bit of a twonk. Hopefully his work is better than his manner. L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

I did see the thumb nail on it.

**UPDATE - so I call up get told it’s good to collect. Turn up bonnet is open. Speak to Sean he said it’s a dream. Was the injectors. I’m like ok but no one said I have spare injectors so should have called me.

Anyway I said ok what about payment. He said Martin (who wasn’t in family emergency) asked me what is it worth to me which I respect. I said look for free would be good but I’m not a Censored taker. What is the bill. He said £1650 so I said I will pay 50% which is way to fair. So paid £825

Drive off get half mile away and while it sounds and feels good. EML comes on so..... now back at garage!!!! Current Cars

**UPDATE**

So EML light came on. Took it back. Told Sean he got Paul to plug it in. Whilst he was doing the plug and check Sean came back to me said he has spoken to Martin. I got two choices leave it with them or get a full refund.

Not really a choice considering I just paid £30 to get there and would be £30 back and then car not fixed and £850 out of pocket.

Told Sean I just want a refund.

I got an email from Martin earlier going over all that was wrong with it and what’s been changed. I haven’t read it but I can’t be bothered to reply. NIGHTMARE!!!!

However I haven’t paid a penny that’s my only shinning light. Current Cars

A shower of Censored operation by the sounds of it. At least they did not charge. Hopefully you can find someone who knows what they are doing to finish the job off. Best of luck...! L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

What a nightmare.

At least you’ve got the car back in a drivable condition and aren’t out of pocket.

Part of me wonders if they’ve actually done anything and part of me thinks they’ve had a go at it but couldn’t figure it out so couldn’t wait to see the back of it if and that’s why they were so quick to offer a refund and let you take the car away.

Did they tell you what fault code was causing the EML when you went back to the garage?

But 5 weeks ago I said no stress if you can’t fix it. I can take it back. You are under no obligation to fix it but they wanted to.

Honestly I just spent best part of 40 mins cleaning the inside of the car. It was filthy.

Now I am home I can read the email but I really don’t want to.

So I got to about half a mile. I wasn’t aggressive with it but it did sound good. I had just had new exhaust system put on and it sounded immense and there seemed to be a lot of power and noise there but then again I have been driving a Williams Clio so totally different feel. It felt like a beast. But then it just flashed up. I was like man do I drive home or drive back. I had to take it back. Pulled up told Sean. Paul plugged it in. Didn’t say what the faults were. Just revved it and plugged it in. Sean came out offered me the options so took my cash back. To be fair I should have offered £500 or less but I didn’t want to be an ass

Soon as he offered refund though I took it.

Then paul pretty much unplugged it walked off. He didn’t even put bonnet down only realised as I hit the A13 it started to flap and move.

EML didn’t come back on but I didn’t kick down. So now it’s clean on inside will do outside tomorrow and assess. Steering wheel was caked in grease and dirt

Well I would say that's a result of sorts, you've been without your car for months, you were expecting to pay something in the end they've not charged. You need to look forwards not back and decide where you're going to take to be sorted, at least you're starting with a clean sheet. BMW i3 Electric Car
