Faulty heated rear windscreen / poor remote key range

Whilst there is no frost to test if the rear screen is working, normally they are warm to touch - mine does nothing. So, I'm 90% certain my rear screen isn't working. I have tested the fuse and relay.

I also have very poor signal from the remote keys (any of them) (maximum 5 metres). I understand that the remote key receiver mounted behind the trim in the boot hatch utilises the rear screen as an antenna.

So, this figures that my key range is poor because, my rear screen may have gone open loop. Where are the terminals to the rear screen so I can test with a multimeter? I've had the side trims off also and, it wasn't immediately obvious.

Bring a pan of water to the boil and then hold it under the tailgate window. This will cause the window to steam up. You can then switch on the heated window and see if it’ll clear Smile

You could also fill a few mugs with boiling water from the kettle, position them on the parcel shelf in a row under the window and then shut the tailgate before switching on the heated window.

It does nothing with light condensation.

I was wondering where the +ve and GND terminals are so that I can test the screen.
