the other day i was looking at my disintegrated under bonnet rubbers in the engine compartment when i noticed the gaiter at the bottom of the steering column had a split in it .

not really but it did seem that the steering was better after the fitment and i did only drive back from my sons garage.....could be a placeable affect though .. ... - .- -.

the 3.0 engine is like a sewing machine motor compared to the 4.4...i would certainly try some kind of mirror contraption or from underneath if you are able to take the skid pan off .. ... - .- -.

if by chance it does need doing then the part is around £140 retail and fitting takes 10 minutes. ... - .- -.
