Took BB for a local (c5 miles) run out for the first time since xmas day now the lockdown rules have eased in Wales.
It felt very strange driving again , especially because all the roads are new to me . I am going to enjoy many more local jaunts to get to know my new home area .

Filled it full of fly spray to hopefully kill the little Censored that has been setting the alarm off.

Last few days really replaced both front to rear break pipes - both rear hight sensors-
Removed rusted through side steps and bleed brakes and recalibrated height sensors

Went to replace both cubby box dampers.
Managed to get the cubby box liner out without too much dismantling, but its looking like I have to remove the entire centre console as the damper supports look to be underneath .
Rave shows how to remove the console and it does not look too bad, so that's tomorrow's job. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Fixed faulty fuel gauge.

Finally got around to doing the common faulty fuel gauge on the 3.6 TDV8, bit messy cutting the wires and getting bullet connectors on but job done and the gauge now works perfectly. Gauge has started reading Zero all the time so decided today was the day I would do it, not a bad job to do but definitely take your time.

It was a day of TLC for my fatty...Not all successful...

1. Filled it up with junk, ready for the tip.
2. Gave it a nice clean and wash.
3. My paint was flaking from the grill so I replaced my grill as you do.
4. Changed my side indicators for dynamic led side indicators.
5. Tried to swap out my side vents, but new ones don't seem to line up like the old ones do Sad So I put the old ones back on with ease...
6. Drove to the tip to clear the garage
7. Removed the rear spoiler to replace the third brake light as two leds stopped working, but thwarted yet again as the connectors are totally different on my car than what the light came with...sigh. and then everyone was out and you need a third pair of hands to push down the spoiler as those screws are very short...
8. Was going to put projector LED puddle lights on, but guess what they don't fit my car as I've got the cameras which are Censored and I never use...
9. Then moved on to swap the tail lights as I fancied the black edition ones with my black edition car but yup something else that goes wrong, they stay on all the time even when the car is locked, and seem to be for the North American market as I now have side lights like some 18 wheel lorry

I'm not sure I'm digging it. Definitely not impressed with after market parts for this car. I all seems to be cheap Chinese tat Rolling with laughter

And FFS now this site doesn't like Apple photos and I have to export them first. I think I'm going to back to bed....

Degreased engine front. Had some heavy oily residue left from the leaking VANOS solenoid seals. I had been avoiding this filthy job since changing them last month but had to get it done eventually. In need of a manicure now...

I drove to the vaccination centre and got my first Astra Zeneca dose. Yay I can party like it’s 1999 now.
