Drive vibrations

Crap......mega drive vibrations at most speed....from previous experience took it to be propshaft bearing....

Had the propshaft replaced at garage....£1k

AND crap vibrations still there....

Seriously Censored off

UPDATE

AFTER ORIGINAL ISSUES THE PROPSHAFT DID REDUCE SOME OF THE VIBRATIONS......

Now still there but appears to be from front ?? guess...

Had the wheels balanced, and 4 wheel alignment done, again changed but still there although different...

Whilst under car today oil servicing diffs etc found front shafts both have a fair bit of play on the inner joints.... more than I am used to feeling DO YOU FOLK THINK THIS MAY BE AN ISSUE

There's another thread running currently re seized rear calipers; on both my L322s I have had this, if it happens you get a vibration through the car which can vary with speed (because the brakes get hotter when bound on at higher speed) and the seriousness of the seize. Sorted by a rebuild or new calipers. 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

Worth checking for engine misfires, too.

Check your wheels. Had mine checked by 3 garages who found nothing wrong, then one rebalanced the wheels and told me 2 were bent. Swapped and all sorted

I had the vibrations at pretty much all speeds from about 35. The active suspension stiffens up the dampers as it thinks wheel tramp is going on - makes it unbearable 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Re: Drive vibrations

Under what conditions does the vibration occur, acceleration, braking steady cruise above a certain speed, engine load, over-run etc etc?
