If anyone has a 2010 or newer and are using original ipod lead connected to bovee Bluetooth adaptor, can they confirm what functions work with Android. This set up looks good for iPhone but not to sure for Android. Cheers all.

Well got the bovee 1000 cw ipod landrover lead wouldn't work with Android so my son tried it with his iPhone x. No joy keeps saying device error. Is there ccf files that need to be loaded to activate stereo.

Which bit is not working?

Not very helpful I know, but it will likely be either the cable or the Bovee. I would start with the cable...it may be good enough to provide power so you can “see” the Bovee. But not do data.

You can also connect direct to the iPod cable to eliminate it; Either an iPod, iPhone or iPad with 30pin connector will do. Or if you have a 30 pin to lightning adapter then that will work too.

Found an old ipod thing and plugged it in still got device error maybe a bit of crackling noise. Anyone in Hampshire got a genuine lead I could try. If that works then it may prove that the bovee supplied lead is no good.

What lead are you using.

It needs to be the LR lead into the multi pin connector not an IPod lead into the USB. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes so if the iPod direct into the 30 pin lead still doesn’t work then it’s either the lead or the socket. I would hazard a guess it’s the lead.

Basically brought bovee c/w a jaguar landrover to 30 pin lead.

There is a firmware update you can do to flash the bovee

Possibly worth doing.

Seems that the phone connects to Bovee but won't connect to audio, just sais device error and then disconnects.

If the same problem is there when connecting the iPod to the lead then I doubt the problem is with the Bovee

Just change the lead and go from there. Hope it’s not your socket.

my experience with the Bovee is good i did not purchase it it was in the glovebox of the car and it just worked.
I i said you cant see any track info but i have had no issues with it, pauses when you turn ignition off re-starts when you start the car. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

I'm having a similar problem. I've just bought and installed the Invery bluetooth adapter (https://invery.com/products/airdual-bluetooth-music-streaming-adapter-for-range-rover-land-rover) and it plugs into the ipod dock in the car (2011 4.4 tdv8), seemingly getting power as the lights are on and my phone can connect to it. My problem is that it doesn't seem to then connect to the car, I can't get anything on the screen when i select Ipod from the infotainment system (I think it say connection error).

Any ideas on how i can diagnose the problem and solution?
