Does the heater ramp up after it's started, does become quite a roar if running correctly. If you look underneath (nearside front) you should see it's exhaust which should be hot enough for your skin to stick to it if it's running at full power. If you're not getting warm air inside, check that the electric water pump is running, if it isn't the water in the heater gets hot, doesn't go anywhere and the heater shuts down because the water is hot. When MY11 was first released, run time was 30 minutes
But LR had put new software on the battery management CPU
Where battery no longer fully charged. Very very very slight saving on fuel....
folks were finding that after a 30 minute run of the FBH, the car was warm but battery was flat

main dealers changed FBH run time to 17 minutes with new download from LR
Some claim their cars are warm and toasty after 17 minutes
Mine certainly is not
Side mirrors no longer de-ice when FBH is running

You can return to 30 minutes at your peril

17 minutes are enough to clear windscreen

With the timer set on mine it works completely randomly, with full tank or only say a third, makes no diff , one morning it's on, another it just doesn't switch on?? Baffling! 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

I'm suspicious that my changeover valve isn't isolating the matrix which is why mine doesn't get very warm. It defrosts the windscreen, but really doesn't warm the interior much.

Not got round to investigating it though. Anyone know of an easy check? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

That’s all mine does to be fair. It doesn’t run for that long, so it’s not going to be As warm as like When the engine is running. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Nara Bronze

I had the opposite a few months ago. The o ring in the valve was swollen so didn't allow engine coolant into the system.
