Alignment ok? Cornering/roundabouts at speed can do this from what I’ve read on here.

It’s not alignment as far as I can see.. with out of alignment, one gets similar wear patterns on tyres on the same axle...

outer shoulder wear on the front is typically lower suspension arm / bush.

I'd agree that wear in that arm's bush can cause uneven tyre wear. I've just replaced both mine as they were looking less than perfect. That bush doesn't wear out all that quickly, not as fast as the lower arm's ball joint. However, the arm you've photo'd is actually known as the upper arm (not lower), despite them both effectively being lower arms!
