If it's a space saver from an L405, there is also a polystyrene piece available to put underneath it.

or do what i did....put 3/4 pieces of off cut foam under the space saver to bring it up to "screw down" height.... ... - .- -.

Throw away the space saver and replace with 4 tins of tyre weld and listen to their merry tune as they rattle about |

Drilling a hole in a suitable off cut of wood to sandwich between the wheel and the holding down bolt seems easy to me.
