I own both and I feel like the L322 is an 'easier' car to drive. The L405 feels more special, almost Bentley-ish, but it also feels bigger and less direct than my L322. Maybe it's because I've only done 15k km in the L405 and more than 100k in the L322.

If you put your L405 on 20" wheels it will travel in total comfort compared to the harsh ride of the 22" wheels RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

I'm sure it will but I'm a sucker for the looks of a car, and 20 inch on the L405 just looks horrible '17 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged AB (Sold)

21” Are a decent compromise. Still feel mine rides slightly More harshly than my 322. Certainly clatters slightly more over broken surfaces and country lanes. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

This is already my 4th L405 and apart from one MY13 they were all low mileage cars, and they ALL clatter on the front suspension + the interiors crack a little bit when driving on bad roads. My L322 with 200k km doesn't do that at all. '17 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged AB (Sold)

I'm looking to change my late L322 for a L405. Plenty of useful info here, thanks |

I got my car new last year and I too find the front suspension noisier than the L322's! I only changed the bushes once on the old one and it didn't clonk like this even when they were worn! If I got the L405 second hand, I would have thought it had a problem!

No regrets moving from a 2004 L322 V8 petrol with LPG to a 2013 L405 TDV8.

I have kept the old L322 TD6 as values are depressed. All I can say is they may as well be two different manufacturers!

i got a late 2012 TDV8 L322 and compared to the early TD6 L322 i had i thought it was a different car. I was assuming the move from a L322 to the L405 would be the same? Not had a drive in the L405 yet so cannot comment.
