I’ve run mine for 2 years now without any problems also had a problem with the temp gauge not reaching 12 o’clock position, thought was egr thermostat. Replaced it twice thinking one was dodgy, turned out the main thermostat was failing. Changed it out all running good, made easier having the fan removed. 2004 Autobiography TD6 Java Black |

Just as an aside to this, my viscous fan has been 'sticking' recently and its sounded like a jet taking off every time I pull away and with the windows down quite loud. We've been away towing the caravan so not gone above 60mph for a few weeks now. I was facing replacing the viscous unit but did a run out last week of 20+ miles on duel carriageway. This seems to have freed up the viscous unit and doesn't engage from startup or running around.
