Hi Sebo, I just think you've been unlucky. All of my 405's have been totally reliable (touch wood) and if you were to go back to the German cars, there is no guarantee with any of them. Good luck |

Hi, I went though this 3 times! If you have the same fault its characterised by getting the yellow engine warning light cycling after 5 starts to begin with followed by engine warning and red triangle with limited performance.

I just got a new primary turbo twice in a row, but it was replaced by a warranty. And now I've replaced the shut-off valve on the secondary turbo. And so far, it seems to be working.

No its a leak from the oil sender in the sump, I think that the oil 'creeps' along the wire loom which is bundled and enclosed and therefore could go anywhere (doesn't wash away in rain etc). So it's not a leak from the turbo, but when I wrote that that was the info I was given at the time.

Yes, I'll have it checked to see if they did it when replacing the turbo. Perhaps this is already included in the replacement service manual.
