Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

After some huge help from Pete Bell @BAS, I ridded myself of the dreaded EGR errors. I had previously blanked them but was still getting the EML light coming on, so the remap sorted that out.

I was also having "suspension fault" coming up, so I tried the repair kits that are doing the rounds, but that not having fixed the problem, I bought a new compressor and all my suspension issues have gone Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Replaced battery - Followed the Wiki guide on here .

total time 50 mins

Issues i had :

The fan on the ECU isn't plugged into anything - so i left it that way
battery said it was for a RR - not totally sure (£134 delivered) but it is EXACTLY the same size as the one i removed

Was 11.7v - replaced it and now 12.0v - took it for a drive and on return it was 12.5v.
Engine on 14.5v

Dashboard flashed up with handbrake error - then disappeared - fault was comms error - cleared it.

there was a small spark when i reconnected the earth - is that normal?

lost the one touch on electric windows and all radio channels and time date...

other wise it went well lol

IC

You're not wrong there, Dave.

My other half isn't particularly keen on driving but she drove it yesterday and said she enjoyed driving it.

Today I had a brand new steering rack put on and paid for by my warranty company for a cool £3400. First time I've had a successful claim on any warranty. Well chuffed.

Went to Telford to get a D2 bottle jack to replace the scissor jack.

106 mile round trip, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Took the upper tailgate trim off to find the source of an intermittent and very irritating rattle.

This dropped out:

Rubber mats and key fob

I've had the Full Fat for a little over a month, in that time I've hardwired a NextBase dashcam, fitted the upgraded puddle lights from Powerful, very nice

https://www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/range-...-blue.html

And today I've fitted the replacement key fob covers as mine were both pealing off along with a set of rubber mats which have arrived in time for the forthcoming holiday in Cornwall (I really wasn't looking forward to the kids getting in with sand covered feet/shoes.)

Really happy with both items purchased from Advanced Factors

I washed mine yesterday evening.

It looked beautiful.

It then immediately started to rain.

Now it looks like it did before I washed it yesterday, and i'll have to wash it again.

Took the first proper run out since lockdown over to Cambridge [to sit for two hours while someone waffled on about designing our new kitchen] along the A14, about a 70 mile round trip, sat on the A14 at a steady 67mph and thought to myself "this is a rather civilised way to travel....innit". The journey there & back was far more interesting than the bit in the middle. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Well don't I feel like the village idiot! Rolling with laughter

FF has been SORN since March, sat in the driveway on the CTEK. Had to move it last night as we had some garden stuff delivered which wouldn't fit past the car, so moved it down the drive and left it there overnight.

Went out this morning to move it back, starts up fine and then while reversing back up the driveway the engine dies, battery light on and all the various HDC warning stuff. Tried restarting a few times, nothing, starter not even turning over. Much swearing ensued and so I get the CTEK and hook it up to get it recharged, wondering how on earth a virtually new battery could have gone flat overnight. Then get back to work (from home)

10 minutes later, glance at mobile phone and notice a text message. It's from my tracker telling me engine disabled successfully. That's when the lightbulb goes on in my brain - last night, I'd sent the engine disable SMS to the tracker and forgotten about it. Normally it responds right away but occasionally it doesn't. It had only kicked into life just after I started it up this morning, hence the sudden unexplained death on the driveway.

Rolling with laughter

Only saving grace is SWMBO wasn't in, so I didn't have to endure the "it broke again?" speech 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)
