Thank you, both for pointing me to the thread and to the correct relay.
I haven't been able to locate an answer whether I should just plug the relay or not, granted there is nothing in the R2 socket, so I'm stuck. |

It appears that your cigar lighter sockets are directly wired from the fuse board and not either provided with the option of using a fixed link or fed through a relay.

Ok, if you want to go ahead with modifying things to make the front socket ignition controlled let me know and I will make up a set of instructions for you. Nothing difficult, it can all be done in the rear compartment.

Wow! Hats off to you, sir! I could have never figured this out by myself and I'm grateful you took the trouble to write this all up. It's all crystal clear. I will locate the cables tomorrow and do the necessary shopping during the week. Then I can hopefully get it all donenext Saturday. |
