Australia 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black
Another headliner option.

I have already recovered 4 headliners in the past, 3 P38as and my current TD6. All done with similar to stock foam backed material and spray impact adhesive. When I got my TD6 the headliner was drooping so I recovered it in some very light grey foam backed material I already had. I was thinking of doing it in Suede material but used what I had. This weekend I decided to go the Suede route. I had seen pictures of a P38 done in black felt in contrast to the cream fittings. I though it looked pretty good so picked up some dark blue ( to match the car ) elasticated micro suede material and a gallon of PVA to do the job. ( I used about 1/4)
I am delighted with the result, only downside is the PVA needs a good few hours to set so I used bags full of sand to keep the cloth pressed into the grab handle recesses. I had done a test before to check the glue strength and even lightly wetted an area to see if the adhesion gave up, which it did not.
I would say a lot easier to do than with the unforgiving impact glue and foam material. Maybe not to everyone's taste but I am very happy with the look. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Very nicely done but the OCD in me would mean I'd have to comb it or brush it all in the same direction.... Rolling Eyes Pete

Holy thread revival batman

I am about to embark on religning my headliner shortly iv just orders some samples from martrim who I use for such things. Have also done a few p38s including my own and our D2.

I am thinking suede instead of the foam back cloth but can't decide if I should go with a different colour or not, have any of you guys got any photos of your headliners standard or not ???

The recent sunny weather has caused the rear to droop so this will be another lockdown project along the line of my wheel return I will of course take before during and after photos

I love and admire the work gone into this. Saying that I could never imagine me buying a car that looked like that. A bit too individual for my liking.

I doubt your next car will be a 2003 TD6. Any non-sagging headliner is a plus in this era market. Max gain for little $$$ pain 2007 TDV8 VSE
