I have already recovered 4 headliners in the past, 3 P38as and my current TD6. All done with similar to stock foam backed material and spray impact adhesive. When I got my TD6 the headliner was drooping so I recovered it in some very light grey foam backed material I already had. I was thinking of doing it in Suede material but used what I had. This weekend I decided to go the Suede route. I had seen pictures of a P38 done in black felt in contrast to the cream fittings. I though it looked pretty good so picked up some dark blue ( to match the car ) elasticated micro suede material and a gallon of PVA to do the job. ( I used about 1/4)

Very nicely done but the OCD in me would mean I'd have to comb it or brush it all in the same direction.... Pete

Thanks but not at that price. The Martrim kits are on £60 and that includes high temp spray glue.

I love and admire the work gone into this. Saying that I could never imagine me buying a car that looked like that. A bit too individual for my liking. |

I doubt your next car will be a 2003 TD6. Any non-sagging headliner is a plus in this era market. Max gain for little $$$ pain 2007 TDV8 VSE
