I made this for my 10in tablet using 5mm Aluminium Angle glues on with silicone. on the angle I bolted a camera tripod ball joint which screws into the tablet mount.

All those are too low down for me - I use a magnetic holder that clips into the dash-top vent.

Brodit do lots of different bases, that can go between panels etc. I've got 1 at either end of the dash display. On one I have my Alpine DAB control box and on the other, I have my Sat-Nav unit, so you pretty much put anything onto them.

I spent ages trying to find one that did what you wanted. This one works well for me.

Bought one of these. Looks a little creepy but the spider legs fit in the dash mounted vents and it works a treat on the L405 and other cars I’ve tried it in:

After messing about with various models over the years I made my own, simplicity is the key. A piece of alloy u shaped stuck above the centre air vents. There is enough lean to stop your device falling back and something non-slip in the grove stops sideways movement during spirited cornering. Trust me this works brilliantly even with a 10 inch tablet
