Adaptive dynamics but not the front !

After a bit of help guys, I’ve got the dynamics fault but it’s coming up as left rear broken wire or open Circuit, now I’ve checked the multi plug & the loom right until it goes up through the floor ( carpet up job ) my question is where is the dynamics module? At lest then I can do a continuity check on that whole loom, going to order a height sensor to rule that out also . Thanks for any help on this.

Previous fault reports have shown they break very near the top of the strut very similar to the fronts, but much less common.

Checked all these parts of the wiring, & all seams ok but like I said I’ll run a loom check next time I get a chance, but what do you guys think about the level sensor? I mean what’s the odds on just the dynamics side going down as the ride heights all change up & down fine.

That was the issue on mine, chafed wires on the offside rear height sensor, but the ride height functionality worked fine. 2010 TDV8 3.6 Galway Green

Ok, had a bit of a look today, from my left rear sensor it seams I have Continuity On pins 2 ,6 & 3 nothing on 1 ,4 & 5 I’ve also done the same test once the loom is inside the car under the rear seats/carpet with the same results, my questions are do all the wires from the sensor go to the ADM ? If not where do they or if so can anyone tell me which pins do 1,4 & 5 go to because I can’t seam to be able to distinguish the colours on the ADM ? If this is a break in the loom where the hell else would you look? There’s no damage anywhere I’ve looked on the loom. If they do go else where & the loom turn out to be ok what’s the chances of a height sensor going down on just the ADM side & has anyone else had that fault with one? Bit long winded but any help would be much appreciated cheers.

Just another update, turns out it was the height sensor & not a wiring fault, so you can have a active dynamics fault from the sensor while your ride height will work just fine. This is what through me plus what most people’s faults were with the wiring.

Think I've got the same problem, got a new height sensor and getting my Indy guy to fit it this week, along with replacing the gaskets and o-rings on the oil cooler as I've got the dreaded Oil Cooler leak.
Had checked the wires in the car and around the sensor and couldn't see any breaks, so hopefully a new sensor will sort the fault.

Just to answer your question, pins 1, 4 & 5 are for the Air Suspension; pins 2, 3 & 6 are for the Adaptive Dynamics Thumbs Up
