Hi, I have an Indus Silver RR. It had the same colour mouldings. I decided to throw away subtlety and contrast the main paint with a gloss black trim. I considered the options to, repaint or wrap, however I decided to go for a six piece lower mouldings trim from Powerful UK. I took this decision because they areplastic injected moulded they are gloss black impregnated all the way through. So no fade, no scratches to show the original colour if they were resprayed or wrapped. I think this was the better solution. The Powerful UK ones are aftermarket, and of course you take a chance on the fit of some aftermarket parts. These aren’t too bad. You would be better getting the genuine Land Rover parts they will fit better. But I touch a chance with the aftermarket ones because I was going to do something different and that was to fit copper inserts to individualise the car even further. I fitted these in February, and to be honest I didn’t take enough care. Resulting in an unsatisfactory fit for my pernickety expectations. So I had to remove them later and assess what had happened. It turned out that I had been careless in locating the lower tabs into their locating slots. A few had bent over, and were preventing a flush fit (I used the cold weather as my excuse). So after rectifying that they do look alright. It is any easy install (if you take enough care fitting them). I’ve enclosed some photos so you can determine for yourself. I hope this helps. Regards, Peter |
