Deployable towbar

Hi all, I have been offered a deployable towbar complete from a 2013 L405 3.0, can any confirm if this is a straight for for my 2015 L405 4.4 please? 2015 4.4 AB

Yes - same part for 3.0 and 4.4 (VPLGT0117)

Make sure it comes with the additional boot floor frame (B in pic below) and mounting brackets ((C&D)
B can be bought seperately - part number LR036694 but the mounting brackets are not available seperately and you'll need to manufacture them.


A lot of the ones for sale on ebay have been removed but the dismantlers don't realise the frame needs to come too.

Also the deployment loom, module and boot switch are different depending on model year. The tow electric socket loom is standard across the years

Thanks for the comprehensive answer, the towbar is coming off a friends 405 who is selling his but the towbar is seized ( never been used ) so I will be taking it off with him Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB

It may not be seized. The control module had to be replaced on many vehicles.

Search for campaign code Q602.

Thank you , it has only ever been used twice and both times only for show. It makes a noise ( sounds electrical ) but nothing happens. He is seeking his 2013 l405 so offered it to me as a gift. I never tow but like the idea of having the option so we will remove it and I can see if there is an issue with it before fitting it to mine.
