2008 Dash removal

In the process of stripping the dash out of my TDV8 to repace the ignition switch. I have the two end panels off and all of the torqs along the top. I have removed the facia above the top glove box and removed then three torqs there however the dash still appears to be fixed in on the nearside and holding the passenger airbag in too.
Can someone tell me what I am missing please? Current cars

Its a little fiddly, but you can just remove the centre trim, column shrouds and lower kick panels, and access the switch that way Thumbs Up

Did you realease the screws under the centre air vent?

Both centre console side panels off
Drivers sill cover, bonnet handle surround and pedal cover off
Undo 5/6 lower screws securing lower facia and pull outwards gently
Release 4 clips for centre of dash and ease past lower facia
Gives access to 2 screws holding barrel onto the plastic panel, which in turn in secured by 3 screws. 2 are easy to get to, the 3rd not so much

Once free, it can be eased out under the touchscreen trim, giving access to barrel and switch Thumbs Up

No, need to work through the column shroud and space from the centre panel

Officially, top of the dash, IPC and lower shroud should be completely removed, but Censored that Laughing

I take it the sill cover is pried off as I can see no fixings to undo. Current cars

Thanks easier than I thought.
Trim is easy to break and expensive to replace so appreciate the help.
Tomorrow will strip out the rest and see if I can get the switch removed. Current cars

While it's apart, replace the bulbs in the upper footwell lights. I was never able to remove the lights as per the handbook instructions. Use quality bulbs or LEDs. I replaced mine with Chinese LEDs and they have gone into flicker mode (as have most of the others I replaced with LEDs from the eBay LED kit). Ron B. VK2OTC

got there in the end. A few variations and I needed to lift the top section of the dash to get one of the speedo trims out but essentially I am ready for the new switch. As soon as it arrives I will know if my new car goes or not. Shocked fingers crossed.

Can the switch be tested now that it is out with a multi meter? Current cars

This is the offending switch note the logo on the top of it.
It is a BMW switch and certainly cheaper than getting it from Land Rover Current cars
