Its a little fiddly, but you can just remove the centre trim, column shrouds and lower kick panels, and access the switch that way |

No, need to work through the column shroud and space from the centre panel

While it's apart, replace the bulbs in the upper footwell lights. I was never able to remove the lights as per the handbook instructions. Use quality bulbs or LEDs. I replaced mine with Chinese LEDs and they have gone into flicker mode (as have most of the others I replaced with LEDs from the eBay LED kit). Ron B. VK2OTC

Mikey got there in the end. A few variations and I needed to lift the top section of the dash to get one of the speedo trims out but essentially I am ready for the new switch. As soon as it arrives I will know if my new car goes or not. fingers crossed. Can the switch be tested now that it is out with a multi meter?
