Works for me Jim, just make sure you hold the nozzle away from the paintwork when you turn it upside down |

Never had a problem myself, but wasn't there a thread on here somewhere before about this. I think it basically depended on which garages you went to i.e. different garages use different pump manufacturers, so if you went to say Tesco, then if it works at 1 Tesco it is probably fine at all of them as they use the same company(s) to install their petrol pumps and so the breathing systems on the nozzles are the same whereas another garages nozzles may always be an issue. I'm probably talking crap now but I did think the fill rate was down to the gun/nozzle & its control mechanism, not the car in any way. Steve

You could very well be right RRVSE but as I said never had an issue with any fiiling station in the RRS |

That's because the RRS is ostensibly a D3, not a FFRR. Completely different fuel tank and filler neck. My D3 was never a problem but the FFRR can be a royal PITA sometimes. Depends on which garage I'm at. |

I think sainsburys is ok (fill speed wise) & I need to take a day's leave if I'm filling up @ tesco.. |

I had this issue on the TDV8, there is a known Technical Bulletin about it, and I had my fuel filler neck replaced. However, I still find some pumps just click off annoyingly, so I have no choice but to turn the nozzle upside down, then it seems to work. The only downside really is that you sometimes need a glove on each hand to prevent getting diesel on you.

The problem could be that you are not used to having the misfuelling device that the FFRR Tdv8 has that the D3 and RRS don't have. I don't have a problem filling at Shell or BP forecourts but do at Esso, I have also noticed that even though they don't mark them, a lot of filling stations have one or even two pumps that are higher capacity so they can handle artics and big trucks - the tank in the RR fills in about 2 minutes from one of those. Only £93 worth of fuel, you're being a miser there Jim, that's only 2/3rd's of a tank 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

I've not had a problem in my 2006 SC, have they changed the filler neck design, or does this only occur on the oil burners?
