Clicking sound from rear nearside

Second fault on my new TDV8 L322 VSE 2008 is what sounds like a relay clicking regularly, sounds like it is coming from under the car near the rear nearside wheel.

It just sounds like the hazards are on, that type of clicking.

Any ideas what it could be please?

I believe that it is the second fuel pump?

Is that for the FBH? Is there any way of fixing it? Thanks.

So apart from the ticking noise is everything working as it should?

Sounds like the FBH pump. Clicks about once per second then moves to about twice per sceond if the FBH demand goes to full. Should run from this time of year cold until the engine coolant reaches a predetermined a set point.

Do you have park heating/ ventilation enabled and a remote for the FBH? Cheers

Not on the timer and don't have the remote unfortunately.

It seems to start when I start the engine and continues when driving.

Not sure of you can enable the park heating timer on yours, someone on here may be along to say if it'spossible. The WM in the Wiki may help.

On running, it will (should) cut out as I said when the engine is hot enough. I think that it runs to ensure the engine reaches operating temperatue more rapidly to reduce emissions, and wear. Cheers

Thanks, I will double check and see what it does when it has been on s run. Not bad it long. Good to know the clicking isn't unusual.
