Hello all and happy new year!

Got a problem with my 2011 4.4 TDV8 vogue: front discs and pads were changed 6 monthes ago, but got now brake judder at some speeds.
Seller says discs could be warped and will order new ones.
I've looked through the forum and it appaears the problem could lie somewhere else.

However, could you tell me the size of front and rear brake discs?
These are different, right?

Regarding the judder, possibly caused by sticking caliper slide pin. Easily checked by a short run and then testing to see if one wheel is hotter than the others. John

Thinking about it, since the brake judder appeared after changing front discs and all pads (front and rear), I think the problem could be limited to the front wheels only.

Generally, if you feel the judder through the steering wheel it tends to be the fronts. Through your seat, it’s the rears.

New discs may be faulty?
This is common i think... 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.
sold 06 td6 160k
Sold 03 td6 260k

Yes I think they re faulty
Going to get them replaced next Week...

I believe that should read 45mm single piston....

Well some news.

The seller says judder may have been caused by warped disc due to...oversized disc!
He says that when trying to find correct front brake discs for my car, websites point to lower sized discs.

I tried this and its confusing…

I tried to ask official Range rover reseller size of the front discs for my RR, but he neither wanted to tell me nor the LR ref. of the item.

I found online what seems the correct answer: LR031845 (380mm)

Is there any official document I can show to convince him?

but according to page 52 of the Range Rover brochure you pointed to, 360mm is the front discs size for a TDV8 (my car is a 2011 4.4 TDV8)

Ah, sorry for the confusion, in trying to find a pdf of the brochure for you to link to, I had to search the web, and the link is for the 3.6 TDV8.

The screenshot I put up is for the 4.4 TDV8 and it’s 380mm. There must be a 4.4 brochure online somewhere, I thought there was one in our Wiki but can’t see one.
